This is really a hot salad, a nice, mild, easy recipe. Everyone enjoys it at potluck suppers. A find from Better Homes and Gardens. Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken |
(opt. - small pinch of whatever spice you prefer, such as poultry seasoning, cavender's, lemon pepper, etc.) |
2 cups diced or minced celery |
3/4 cup ranch dressing |
1/3 cup almond slivers |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 tablespoon onion |
1/2 tsp salt |
2 oz. grated cheddar |
1 cup crushed plain potato chips |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 425. 2. Rub seasoning (if using) into chicken. 3. Combine chicken with rest of ingredients except cheese and chips. 4. Pile lightly in 8 dish. 5. Sprinkle with cheese and chips. 6. Bake 20 minutes. |
