I had this last week at my ladies Bunko night and copied it out of the hostess' Fix and Forget cookbook. It was FABULOUS. Ingredients:
2 onions, sliced |
3lbs chicken legs, skinned (or boneless skinless breasts) |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
16oz stewed tomatos |
1 15oz can tomato sauce |
1 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp pepper |
1-2 tsp dried oregano |
1/2 tsp dried basil |
1 bay leaf |
1/4 cup white wine |
Directions:
1. Place sliced onions in bottom of crockpot. 2. Add chicken. 3. Add the rest of the ingredients. 4. Cover and cook for 6 to 6 1/2 hours on low. 5. When cooking complete, remove bay leaf and bones. 6. Serve over spaghetti, linguini, or fettucini. |
