This is one of my favorite recipes. It is a comfort food that pleases everyone in the family. It is also a very forgiving recipe. The ingredients are cheap and easy to find. You might already have all the ingredients in your pantry/fridge. Ingredients:
1 package cream cheese, softened |
1/4 cup milk |
1 tsp. parsley, or cilantro |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. pepper |
4 cup cubed cooked chicken |
1/2 cup fine chopped celery |
4 green onions with tops thinly sliced |
3 tubes 8 oz. crescent rolls |
1/4 cup margarine/butter, melted |
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs |
Directions:
1. Beat cream cheese, milk, salt, pepper, and parsley/cilantro. 2. Stir in chicken, celery, onions. 3. In 12 rectangles, 4 from each tubes place on greased sheet, press perforations together. 4. Spoon 1/3 cup on each. 5. Bring edges up to center. 6. Pinch to seal. 7. Brush with butter or margarine.; sprinkle Bread Crumbs. 8. Bake these in a preheated 350F oven for 15 to 20 minutes. |
