This is a regular dish in our house. Easy way to use up that left over chicken. Ingredients:
2 cups cooked diced chicken |
2 cups uncooked rice |
3 cups water |
1 (28 ounce) can of homestyle beans |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. rinse rice thoroughly. 2. heat oil in rice pan on Med/High heat. 3. brown half of the rice in the oil. only until a golden brown. 4. add the rest of the rice, beans, chicken, and water. 5. bring to a boil and turn the heat down to low. 6. cover and let cook for 25 minutes. |
