Chicken & Asparagus Rotini

Better cold (cool for several hours). Sprinkle with goat cheese or feta if desired. serving size is ~ 2 cups.
Ingredients:
8 ounces whole wheat rotini pasta, uncooked
1 pound chicken breast, diced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup asparagus, sliced
2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp basil, fresh and chopped
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat.
2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat & coat with Pam or use a little oil.
3. Sprinkle chicken with salt & pepper then saute.
4. Add asparagus to pan; saute 5 minutes.
5. Add tomatoes and garlic to pan; saute 1 minute.
6. Remove from heat. Stir in pasta, basil, vinegar and oil.
