this actually was a bit of a mistake that i had to do a quick fix for. I was boiling the drumsticks to make crumbed drummies, but i forgot about them and the meat had all started falling off the bones. My husband suggested soup instead, so i quickly had to throw in enough to make a nice soup. walla, a great, simple recipe. Ingredients:
1 liter water |
6 chicken drumsticks |
2 carrots, thickly sliced |
1 onion, quartered |
4 medium mushrooms, sliced |
1 medium zucchini, thickly sliced |
400 g potatoes, cubed |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 chicken stock cube |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. boil chicken in water for about 20 minutes 2. add potatoes, carrots, onion, salt, pepper, paprika, stock cube and oregano, boil for a further 10 minutes. 3. add mushrooms and zucchiniboil for a further 10, or until potato cubes are cooked. |
