I got this recipe from a friend years ago. It's really 'comfort food' I think. You can use the whole cut-up chicken, or whatever pieces you prefer... normally I just use breasts, but today I'm using a family pak of thighs that were on sale. Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine |
1 cup uncooked rice |
1 1/3 cups water |
1 dash garlic salt |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of celery soup |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
1 (2 1/2 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix |
3 -4 lbs chicken pieces |
Directions:
1. Melt margarine. 2. Combine with remaining ingredients EXCEPT chicken. 3. Place mixture in a large casserole and put chicken pieces on top. 4. Cover with lid or foil and bake at 350 degrees F. for about 2 hours. |
