Comfort food. A southern staple. Ingredients:
3 -4 lbs chicken |
1 medium onion, sliced |
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning |
salt & pepper |
2 cups biscuit mix |
2/3 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Boil chicken with onion, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. 2. After the chicken is done, remove it from the broth, let cool, pick the meat from the bones and put the meat back into the broth. 3. Mix biscuit mix according to package directions. 4. Drop by large spoonfuls into boiling broth. 5. Reduce heat to medium, cover and cook 20 minutes. |
