Inspired by some chicken and apple sausages we had, I devised this dish for a nice fall dinner. The apples, onions, and chicken juices make a wonderfully rich wine-like sauce Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs boneless chicken thighs |
1 large onion, peeled and quartered |
4 garlic cloves, crushed |
3 medium apples, cored and cut into chunks |
italian seasoning |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425. 2. Rub chicken with seasoning blend, salt and pepper and place in 9x13 baking dish. Add remaining ingredients. 3. Bake for approximately 45 minutes, turning chicken once during cooking and adding water as necessary. |
