Whole chicken with beautiful creamy sauce. Very easy to make. Yummy too!! Ingredients:
1 whole chicken (cut up) |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon canola oil |
2 teaspoons minced garlic cloves |
1 jalapeno pepper, finely diced |
2 cups sliced mushrooms |
salt & pepper |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 cup chicken broth |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
Directions:
1. Melt butter and oil in lg skillet on medium high heat. Add garlic and jalapeno pepper, saute 1 - 2 minutes. Add chicken skin side down. Brown on both sides. Lower heat to med low. Add mushrooms, salt & pepper. Cover and cook for 45 minutes. Remove chicken to platter. Turn up heat to med high, add flour and work into a roux. Slowly add chicken broth to make a gravy and then add the entire package of crean cheese. Work in cream cheese until well blended to a creamy sauce. Add chicken back into sauce. Serve over noodles or any pasta you like. |
