Chick Peas And Sausage With Rice |

It can be a side dish or a main dish. The serving size is a guess. Ingredients:
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil |
3 or 4 chorizo or italian sausages sliced in bite size chunks (i like a mix of chorizo and sweet italian) |
1 cup onion chopped |
1/2 cup green sweet pepper chopped |
2 tbsp garlic chopped |
1 envelope goya sazón with culantro & achiote |
1 envelope chicken or beef bouillon |
2 cups water |
2 cups long grain rice |
1 can 15.5 oz. chick peas, drained well |
salt to taste |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, heat olive oil. Sauté sausage 2-3 minutes. 5 - 10 minutes if using Italian Sausages 2. Add onion, sweet pepper, garlic, sazon and cook for 2 – 3 minutes 3. Add the rest of the ingredients, season to taste, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes |
