I was raised with this soup ever since I could remember. It brings back some good memories. If you add some tortillas it will be perfect. Ingredients:
8 -10 cups water |
3 cloves garlic, pressed |
1/2 onion |
1 tomato |
2 carrots |
2 celery |
1 zucchini |
1 squash |
2 potatoes |
1/2 cup cabbage |
8 sprigs chopped cilantro |
1 bay leaf |
3 chicken breasts |
salt and pepper |
lime |
1 teaspoon oil |
chopped onion |
cubed avocado |
crushed red pepper flakes |
cilantro |
Directions:
1. Sautee onions and garlic in oil. 2. Put in water, chicken, bay leaf, salt and pepper. 3. Bring to a boil. 4. Add the rest of ingredient and let boil to your likes. |
