It got Grand Prize in their pizza competition. Ingredients:
1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed |
1 lb bulk italian sausage |
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese |
1/2 lb sliced fresh mushrooms |
1 small onion, chopped |
2 teaspoons olive oil |
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained |
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon fennel seed, crushed |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Press dough onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased 13x9x12 inch baking dish. 2. In a large skillet, cook sausage over med. heat until no longer pink. Drain. 3. Sprinkle over dough. 4. Top with Mozz cheese. 5. In a skiller, saute muchrooms and onion in oil until tender. 6. Stir in the tomatoes, oregano, salt, fennel, and garlic powder. 7. Spoon over mozz cheese. 8. Sprinkle with Parm cheese. 9. Bake 350 for 25-35 minutes or until crust is golden brown. |
