These granola bars are easy and delicious. They taste just like the store-bought chewy kind. My husband asks me to make these at least once a week! Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats |
1 cup steel-cut oats |
1 cup crispy rice cereal |
1/2 cup chopped mixed dried fruit |
1/2 cup chopped almonds |
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup honey |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. 2. Mix rolled oats, steel-cut oats, rice cereal, dried fruit, and almonds together in a large bowl. 3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add brown sugar, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk until sugar is completely dissolved, about 2 minutes. Pour over oat mixture; stir to combine. 4. Spread oat mixture into prepared baking dish. Press chocolate chips into top. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour. |
