So my Jeremy's away doing his Navy recruit training just now, which is pretty tough on him so i send hime care packages every week or so contianing letters, drawings and sometimes tasty treats he can share with the other fellas in his cabin. Read more . Nyaw, zoe, you the best. Ingredients:
60 grams butter |
1/2 cup golden syrup |
1/4 cup honey |
1 3/4 cup plain flour |
1 tsp bicarb soda |
2 tsp ground ginger |
about 10 squares melted dark chocolate |
Directions:
1. - Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. 2. - Increase heat to high and add golden syrup and honey. Bring to the boil, then remove from heat, pour into a large mixing bowl and allow to cool 10 minutes. 3. - Sift the remaining ingredients (except chocolate) into the butter mixture. Stir until well combined. Cover and set aside for an hour or so, until dough is firm. 4. - Preheat oven to 180Âșc. 5. - Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and place on a baking tray, about 3 cm apart. Flatten balls with the back of a spoon. 6. - Bake for 7-10 minutes, until golden brown. Allow to cool on tray. 7. - When cool, dip the bottoms in melted chocolate and allow to set on a chilled, baking paper lined baking tray. |
