A delicious, simple mayo-free cole slaw, from an classic guitarist! I like to add just under a teaspoon of finely minced or grated onion to this; but sometimes it's nice to have as is . The amount of hot sauce can be adjusted, but I like it just like this.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 head cabbage, very thinly shredded
Directions:
1. Whisk together the vinegar, oil,sugar, dry mustard, hot sauce and salt to combine. Pour onto cabbage and toss thoroughly. Chill a bit before serving.
