A very nice rice recipe. I got this recipe from my catering partner who served this recently at a big cookout he catered and I assisted in. It got rave reviews so I made him hand the recipe over. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 medium onion sliced finely |
1/4 pound mushrooms sliced |
margarine as required |
1 teaspoon all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup stock |
1 pound chestnuts boiled |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
1/2 cup white wine |
2 cups cooked rice |
Directions:
1. Sauté onion and mushrooms in margarine until brown then add flour and blend. 2. Gradually add stock then stir until smooth. 3. Add peeled and chopped chestnuts then mix well and season. 4. Add white wine then heat to boiling point and serve over rice. |
