2 cups chestnuts |
1 cup melted butter |
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper |
3/4 cup cream |
5 tablespoons chopped parsley |
3 tablespoons grated onions |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning |
3 cups dry bread crumbs |
1 1/2 cups chopped celery |
3/4 cup seedless raisins (optional) |
Directions:
1. Shell and skin chestnuts and drop into boiling water. Cook until soft, drain. 2. Put them through a potato ricer or food mill blender. 3. Combine with rest of ingredients and mix well. 4. Will stuff about a 10-12 pound turkey. |
