My grandmother's chestnut dressing; one of the dishes I made for the family for christmas dinner. Ingredients:
1 1/4 c chopped celery |
1/4 c chopped onion |
4 c cooked chopped chestnuts |
1 1/3 c melted butter |
1/4 c parsley |
1/2 c cream |
3 t salt |
1/4 t pepper |
4 c soft bread crumbs |
dash sage |
broth from turkey or chicken (' 14 oz) |
Directions:
1. Saute the onion and celery in the butter; combine everything then cover and bake 375 for 30 minutes. |
