This is another recipe clipping that Mom collected. I am sure there is one here on Zaar, but I just want to put it here for safe keeping. These are all cut out of magazines and I have no idea which magazine or paper they came from. Some are even newspaper clippings. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, melted |
1 cup sugar, plus |
1 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon flour |
1/2 cup water |
3 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
9 inches pie shells, baked |
Directions:
1. Stir all ingredients. ( except 2 egg whites) together rapidly and 2. bake at 325° for thirty to forty-five minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean and center of pie is set. 3. Beat 2 egg whites with 3 tbsp sugar and vanilla. 4. Brown in oven. 5. Double the recipe for 3 pies. 6. Set pie pan inside a baking dish with water in to bake. |
