I got this recipe from who knows where, and added on to it myself. It is a favorite with my family. Ingredients:
4 lbs chicken wings, cut up at the joint |
3 cups flour |
1 tsp. seasoned salt |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. pepper |
1/2 tsp. garlic powder |
3 cups vegetable oil, for frying |
--sauce |
2 sticks butter |
1 1/2 cups crystal louisiana hot sauce |
1/4 cup red wine vinegar |
3/4 cup chablis white wine |
celery sticks |
ranch salad dressing |
Directions:
1. In a paper bag, pour in flour and seasonings. Close and shake to mix. 2. Add chicken, about 8-10 pieces at a time. 3. Shake off excess flour. 4. In a large frying pan, over medium heat, fry chicken wing parts, until golden brown. 5. One piece at a time, dip into prepared Sauce and place in a baking pan. 6. Place pan in a 250* oven. 7. When chicken is dry, Dip in sauce, one more time. 8. Place in a second baking pan. 9. Put back in oven. 10. (When all chicken is cooked, and back in the oven for the second time, pour remaining sauce over the chicken 11. Repeat with remaining chicken. 12. To make the Sauce; In a medium saucepan melt the butter. 13. Add the remaining ingredients. 14. Bring to a boil, 15. Remove from heat. 16. Use for dipping, while cooking chicken 17. Serve with celery sticks and Ranch Salad Dressing |
