Ingredients:
1 (1 pound, 1.5 ounce) package dry sugar cookie mix (recommended: betty crocker) |
4 ounces cream cheese, softened and cut into pieces |
2 eggs |
2 teaspoons cherry extract |
12 red or green candied cherries, halved |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. In the bowl of an electric mixer combine, the sugar cookie dough, cream cheese, eggs, and extract. 3. Fit a cookie press or resealable plastic bag with a star template or 3/4-inch star tip. Pipe dough in 2 1/2-inch lines, 2 inches apart on an un-greased cookie sheet. Press a cherry half at the base of each shell. Bake for 12 minutes, until brown on bottom and raw look is gone from tops. |
