Some friends here were talking about Sangria and how they were enjoying some last week. Cherries are in season so I decided to make one for the weekend using them. This is what I came up with.....Yes, I did go without my Sunday morning Bloody Mary today. Ingredients:
1 bottle red wine, chilled ( i used a chilean cabernet) |
1 cup cherries, pitted and sliced in half |
1 nectarine, sliced |
1 lemon, sliced |
1 orange, sliced |
3 oz. brandy |
1 cup lemon lime soda |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in container with lid 2. Marinate in refrigerator for at least two hours. (I did mine over night) 3. Before serving add to pitcher 4. Serve over ice |
