My daughter's friend was alone on her birthday so I offered to make dinner for her. She said that her Mom always made a special cake for her, based upon our conversation this is the recipe that I came up with and she said it was just right. If you love cherry, you love this cake. Super moist! Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix |
3/4 cup wesson oil |
1/2 cup apricot nectar |
4 eggs |
1/4 cup cherry juice |
1 (3 1/2 ounce) box cherry jell-o |
1/4 cup cherry juice |
1 cup powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients for cake. 2. Mix well. 3. Pour into prepared bundt pan. 4. Bake in preheated 300 degree oven 1 hour or until done. 5. Mix glaze ingredients. 6. Poke holes in cake. 7. Pour glaze over cake while warm. |
