Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
4 cups water |
2 (16 1/2-ounce) cans dark sweet cherries, undrained |
1/2 cup lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, flour, and water in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves; reduce heat, and simmer 3 minutes. 2. Drain cherries, reserving liquid. Add liquid and lemon juice to sugar mixture; stir well. Cool. 3. Place cherries in container of food processor or electric blender; process until smooth. Add to liquid mixture. 4. Pour mixture into freezer can of a 1-gallon hand-turned or electric freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. |
