Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/3 cup chopped walnuts or 1/3 cup pecans |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 eggs |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled |
1/2 cup milk |
1 can cherry pie filling |
Directions:
1. Mix first 4 ingredients for topping; set aside. 2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. 3. Beat eggs until fluffy, slowly add sugar, beating well. 4. Stir in melted butter. 5. Add flour mixture alternately with milk. 6. Beat until smooth. 7. Spread half in greased 9x9 baking pan. 8. Top with pie filling. 9. Add remaining batter. 10. Sprinkle with topping. 11. Bake at 350* for 45-50 minutes. |
