This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Olsen Estate in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1982. This is tried and true and one we thoroughly enjoy. Ingredients:
1 box white cake mix |
1 stick butter |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
1 can cherry pie filling |
2 teaspoon lemon juice |
1 teaspoon almond flavoring |
Directions:
1. Mix pie filling, lemon juice and almond flavoring then pour into square pan. 2. Melt butter and mix with dry cake mix and walnuts then spread over cherries. 3. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. |
