Well, kinda looks like a Black Forest Cake, might even taste like one, but um this is German as well - it's creamy, chocolate, and tons of cherries to boot. This use to be on eurocuisine's web site, but I don't see it there any longer. Ingredients:

the amounts are suitable for a springform baking tin with a diameter of 28 cm. |
· 6 eggs |
· 200 g ground almonds |
· 250 g sugar |
· 200 g margarine |
· 1 sachet baking powder |
· 4 tablespoons cocoa |
· 2 glasses of cherries, washed and left to dry |
· 1 tablet of plain chocolate |
· 0.6 l whipped cream |
· 2 sachets vanillin sugar |
a little more than a sachet of cream stabiliser |
Directions:
1. Preparation 2. Step 1 3. · Beat together in a bowl the egg yolks, almonds, sugar and margarine 4. · Add the baking powder mixed with the cocoa and fold in the egg whites, once these has been beaten until stiff 5. · Pour the mixture into a greased baking tin 6. · Bake for thirty minutes, leave to cool 7. Step 2 8. · Scatter the cherries over the surface of the cake 9. · Sprinkle on half of the grated chocolate and leave to cool in the fridge overnight 10. Step 3 11. · Beat the cream with the vanillin sugar until stiff, spread on the cake and sprinkle on the rest of the grated chocolate 12. Store in a cool place |
