These sound delish. Ingredients:
3/4 cup all-purpose flour |
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar |
3 tablespoons butter, cold |
1 egg |
2 egg whites |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup maraschino cherry, quartered |
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped |
1/3 cup flaked coconut |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 350. 2. In a food processor place flour and confectioners sugar; cover and process until blended. Add butter, cover and pulse 15 times, until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press into 9 in square baking pan coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 12-15 mins until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack. 3. For filling combine the egg, egg whites, sugar, and vanillain a bowl. 4. Combine the flour, baking pwd, and salt; add the egg mixture. Stir in cherries, nuts, and coconut. Spread over the crust. 5. Bake for 20-25mins or until firm. Cool on wire rack. Cut into bars, refridgerate leftovers. |
