Another recipe from Strictly Thrifty Menus. Ingredients:
1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling |
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel |
1 cup bisquick baking mix |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened |
3 tablespoons boiling water |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400*. Mix pie filling and lemon peel in square pan, 8x8x2 . Combine baking mix and butter in small bowl. Add water; stir vigorously until dough forms a ball and cleans the bowl. (Dough will be puffy and soft.) Drop dough by spoonfuls onto fruit mixture. Bake 25-30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm and, if you wish, with light cream. |
