This is my mom's recipe. It was her special dessert when we were kids. Now my sisters and I all have the recipe and make it for our familys. It's still our family's favorite! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (be generous) |
1/2 cup melted butter |
1/4 cup sugar |
12 oz cream cheese, softened |
2 egg whites |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 t vanilla |
cherry pie filling, 1 can |
Directions:
1. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press into a 9-inch sqare pan. 2. Beat egg whites then gradually add 1/2 cup sugar and beat until fluffy, but not stiff. 3. Gently fold in softened cream cheese and vanilla. 4. Put cream cheese mixture on top of crust and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. 5. Cool and top with cherry pie filling. 6. Refrigerate before serving. |
