Perfect on a hot day Ingredients:
9-inch baked pie shell |
1 can (16 oz.)pitted red tart cherries |
1 cup sugar |
3 tbs cornstarch |
1 tbs butter |
1/2 tsp cinnamon |
1 tsp almond extract |
2 med bananas |
Directions:
1. Bake pie shell. In saucepan,mix cherries (with liquid),sugar and 2. cornstarch. Cook stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and 3. boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in butter;cool. Stir in cinnamon 4. and almond extract. 5. Slice bananas in layers into baked pie shell. Pour filling over banana slices; chill until set. |
