Cherry Apple Crisp

Using canned fruit for the filling makes this a quick and easy dessert. Serve warm with ice cream.
Ingredients:
2 (21 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
1 (15 ounce) can sliced apples in syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup quick-cooking oats
2/3 cup flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine
ice cream (optional)
Directions:
1. Combine filling ingredients and set aside.
2. Mix together the oats, flour and brown sugar.
3. Cut in the butter using a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Spoon half the filling into a 2 qt baking dish.
5. Sprinkle half the topping mixture over the filling in the dish.
6. Repeat layers with the remaining cherry and topping.
7. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven 25 to 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
8. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
