Oh boy....another great muffin recipe...these are so yummy and really nice and moist! Enjoy Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup butter or margarine softened |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon almond extract |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup buttermilk |
1 cup chopped almonds |
1 jar maraschino cherries chopped and drained |
Directions:
1. In large bowl cream sugar and butter, Add eggs, one at a time, 2. beating well after each addition. Blend in almond extract. 3. Combine dry ingredients; blend into creamed mixture alternately with 4. the buttermilk. Stir in the almonds and cherries. 5. Pour into greased muffin tins or paper-lined tins. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out clean. |
