Warm from the oven,these brownies are a chewy,gooey treat.When refrigerated,they cut into neat bars and will keep tightly covered about a week. Ingredients:
3 oz unsweetened chocolate,fine chopped |
9 oz. semisweet chocolate,fine chopped |
1/2 c unsalted butter,cut in 1/2 pieces |
1/2 c sugar |
2 large eggs |
1/4 c strong coffee,room temperature |
3/4 tsp coarse salt |
1/4 c flour |
1/2 c toasted almonds,coarse chopped |
1/3 c dried cherries,chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In microwave safe 8 square baking dish,combine chocolate and butter. Microwave on high in 30 sec. increments,stirring each time,until melted,about 2 mins.Whisk mixture to combine. Let cool slightly. 2. Add sugar,eggs,and coffee and whisk gently to combine.Add flour,salt and almonds and stir to combine. Gently stir in cherries. 3. Cook just till set and toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs,40 to 45 mins. Serve warm or let cool completely in dish on wire rack and refrigerate 2 hours befor cutting into 10 rectangles. |
