This classic sweet cherry no bake dish is a definite keeper. This dessert recipe has been in Barb Cooan's family for more 40 years. I found this recipe in Country Woman magazine. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping. I plan to use Splenda for the sugar and sugar free pie filling. Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped |
2 cups miniature marshmallows |
21 ounces cherry pie filling |
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Fold in whipped cream and marshmallows. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. 2. Spoon into dessert bowls. Top with pie filling. |
