This is a really good side dish to fish or any sea food. Ingredients:
12 large portabella mushrooms-stems removed |
1 box of chicken flavored stuffing mix |
1 8oz. package cream cheese-softened |
1 pound of imitation crabmeat |
2 cups of butter or margarine |
1 small onion |
2 cloves garlic peeled and minced |
grated cheese to sprinkle on top |
Directions:
1. Clean and remove stems from mushrooms. 2. Arrange the mushrooms on a baking sheet 3. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees (175 degrees C) 4. Prepare stuffing per package directions 5. Melt butter and garlic together in a small saucepan 6. Mix together reserved mushroom stems, prepared stuffing, cream cheese, crab meat, onion. ( I mix it in a food processor) 7. Liberally stuff the mushrooms with the mixture. 8. Drizzle melted butter and garlic on top 9. Sprinkle grated cheese on top of each mushroom 10. Bake uncovered in oven about 15 minutes or until tops begin to brown. |
