Cheesy Veggie Soup

A complete delight, keep ingredients on hand to make on spur of the moment. Ideal with ham sandwishes. Simply deliciossso!!!
Ingredients:
1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
4 green onions, sliced, tips included
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dried herbs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can undiluted chicken broth
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2-1 cup shredded mild to sharp cheddar cheese
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese (optional)
1 -2 teaspoon dijon-style mustard
Directions:
1. Turn vegetables into saucepan.
2. Add onions, flour, salad herbs, slat and clack pepper.
3. Mix until vegetables are coated with the flour.
4. Add chicken broth and milk.
5. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
6. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
7. Just before serving, blend in the cheddar cheese and cream cheese, if used.
8. Taste the soup and add mustar as desired.
9. Serve immediately.
