THIS IS A GREAT PICNIC SIDE DISH THAT MY WHOLE FAMILY MAKES ME BRING FOR LARGE GATHERINGS...KIND OF LIKE A LOADED BAKED POTATO IN A CASSEROLE. Ingredients:
2 bags frozen country style hash browns |
2 cans cream of chicken soup |
3 cans of cheddar cheese soup or box of velveeta diced |
large container sour cream |
1 lb bacon |
3 bunches of green onions, keeping some of the greens, or one large onion diced |
garlic pepper - to taste preference |
stick of butter |
Directions:
1. COOK THE BACON UNTIL CRISP AND BREAK INTO SMALL PIECES WHEN COOLED. 2. PUT POTATOES INTO A LARGE FOIL PAN. 3. ADD THE SOUP, CHEESE, SOUR CREAM, BACON, ONIONS AND GARLIC PEPPER. 4. MIX ALL WELL. 5. CUT THE BUTTER INTO SMALL PIECES AND PLACE ON TOP OF POTATOES ALL AROUND. 6. PLACE IN OVEN AT 350 AND BAKE UNTIL BUBBLY AND STARTING TO BROWN. |
