This comes from the Gooseberry Patch catalog. I love it as a different way to prepare instant mashed, and an alternative to plain old potatoes. Ingredients:
4-ounce package instant mashed potatoes |
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
1/2 cup bacon bits |
Directions:
1. Prepare the instant potatoes according to the package directions and let cool. 2. Stir in the cheese. 3. Roll the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls. 4. Roll the balls in the bacon bits. 5. Arrange the balls on an ungreased baking sheet. 6. Bake in a preheated 375-degree-F oven for 15 to 18 minutes. |
