Cheesy Pepper Uppers

I have been making this for years before fried pepper poppers became so popular. Instead of mixing ingredients in a bowl, I place them in a heavy-duty zip-lock baggie and knead together then snip one corner of bag and squeeze into peppers. Read more . Don't expect leftovers!
Ingredients:
1 8oz. package of cream cheese, softened
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup monterey jack, shredded
6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chopped garlic
1/4 tsp chili powder
2 dozen fresh jalapenos, halved, seeded and deveined
1/2 cheese crackers (i use cheezits) crushed
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees
2. Grease cookie sheet
3. Mix cheeses, bacon, salt, garlic and chili powder together.
4. Fill each half of jalapeno with cheese filling
5. Top each pepper with the crushed Cheezits
6. For Spicy peppers bake for 20 minutes
7. For Medium heat bake for 30 minutes
8. For Mild peppers bake for 40 minutes
9. Best when served immediately
10. Be prepared to make more!
