Cheesy Pepper Muffins Mix - Gift in a Jar |

What could be better than a gift from your kitchen? This year I am planning to do a bunch of those 'Gifts in a Jar recipes for the holiday season! This one is terrific! Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup yellow cornmeal |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon red pepper |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
1/3 cup dry buttermilk |
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes, green onion if you can find it |
1 1/2-2 teaspoons dried red pepper flakes |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 cups water |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and mix them together well. 2. Pour into an airtight container, like a QUART mason jar and store in a cool, dry place. 3. Decorate as you wish for gift giving 4. *DIRECTIONS FOR RECIPE GIFT CARD:* You can copy and paste this but you will have to adjust the spacing etc - Add 2 eggs, 1 1/2 cups water, 1/4 cup vegetable oil. Place muffin mix in a large bowl and make a well in center of mixture. Combine eggs, water and oil, add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon into greased muffin pans, filling 3/4 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from pan immediately. Yield: 2 dozen. 5. Happy gift giving! |
