My mom is responsible for this recipe. It was originally obtained from Paula Deen, but my mom made some changes to it. Nice for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and easy too! Ingredients:
12 ounces cream cheese, softened |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 eggs |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 unbaked pie shell |
1 1/4 cups pecans, whole |
3 eggs |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup corn syrup |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Beat first 5 ingredients together until smooth; pour into unbaked pie shell and top with 1 1/4 cup whole pecans. 2. In another bowl, prepare the topping ingredients; add the eggs and beat; add sugar, corn syrup and vanilla; mix all ingredients well and slowly pour over pecan and cheese filling. 3. Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minute until done. |
