This cornbread has a lot of flavors , and textures. Ingredients:
4 t margarine |
1 large spanish onion, thinly sliced |
3/4 c sour cream |
1 c cheddar cheese, shredded, divided |
1 pkg cornbread mix |
8 oz can cream-style corn |
1/3 c milk |
1 egg |
Directions:
1. saute onion in margarine till tender 2. add sour cream and 1/2 C cheese, mix 3. blend together: cornbread mix ,corn, milk, egg. 4. spread into greased 9 inch sq pan 5. spread onion mixture over cornbread. 6. sprinkle with remaining cheese. 7. bake 425 degrees 35-40 min |
