CHEESY OLIVE DIP WITH RYE CRACKER CRUMBS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Lynch Estate in Garland, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
2 cups rye cracker crumbs |
1/4 cup butter melted |
2 cups sour cream |
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese grated |
1/3 cup green olives chopped |
1/4 cup chives chopped |
1/4 cup white onions minced |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
2 teaspoons celery seed salad dressing |
Directions:
1. Blend crumbs and butter then line bottom of spring form pan with half of the crumb mixture. 2. Combine remaining ingredients and spread on crust then sprinkle with remaining crumbs. 3. Refrigerate several hours then turn out onto platter and serve with crackers or cocktail rye bread. |
