This is a recipe from Kraft Foods. Sounds like it might be a winner at our house! Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained |
1/2 cup water |
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning mix |
3/4 cup sour cream, divided |
6 ounces tortilla chips (7 cups) |
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese |
1 green onion, sliced |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 deg. F. 2. Brown meat in large skillet; drain. Return meat to skillet. 3. Add tomatoes, water and seasoning mix; stir. Cook 10 minute stirring occasionally. 4. Stir in 1/4 cup sour cream. 5. Place half the chips in 13x9-inch baking dish, cover with layers of half each of the meat mixture and cheese. Repeat layers. 6. Bake 20 minutes or until heated through. 7. Top with onions and remaining sour cream. |
