My supervisor's boss made an awesome lasagna at our office Christmas party and I tried to duplicate it. Mine is slightly different, but definately tastier! Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package sliced pepperoni |
1 lb hot italian sausage |
1 lb hamburger |
16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese |
2 eggs |
12 ounces cottage cheese or 12 ounces ricotta cheese |
1 (8 ounce) package lasagna noodles |
1 (8 ounce) can diced tomatoes (or we use spaghetti sauce) |
1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms or 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms |
1 green pepper, sliced |
1 tablespoon garlic |
2 tablespoons italian seasoning |
Directions:
1. Cook lasagna according to package directions. 2. While pasta is cooking, brown sausage and hamburger. 3. After sausage and hamburger is browned, add pepperoni. 4. Mix in mushrooms, green pepper, and tomatoes (or sauce). 5. Add garlic and italian seasoning. 6. Let simmer until vegetables are thoroughly cooked. 7. Blend cottage cheese, 8 ozs of mozzarella cheese, and 2 eggs until well mixed. 8. Line bottom of deep-dish pan with single layer of lasagna. 9. Pour 1/2 cheese mixture 10. Add another layer of lasagna. 11. Pour 1/2 meat sauce mixture. 12. Add another layer of lasagna. 13. Add remaining cheese mixture. 14. Add another layer of lasagna. 15. Add remaining meat mixture. 16. Top with 8 oz mozzarella cheese. 17. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 25 minutes. 18. Remove aluminum foil and bake at 350 for another 25 minutes. 19. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving. |
