This is a good basic hashbrown casserole. I sometimes substitute the colby-jack for cheddar or swiss. This is the kind of recipe you can experiment with to adjust for your personal tastes. Enjoy! Ingredients:
2 lbs frozen hash browns |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
1 (10 1/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
1 pint sour cream |
1 bag of frozen chopped onions |
2 cups colby-jack cheese, grated |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Spray an 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. 3. Mix all ingredients together and pour into prepared pan. 4. Bake for 45 minutes or until brown on top. 5. Note: If it is bubbly and you think it is done but not brown enough on top, switch your oven over to broil and let the top get brown and crispy. Keep an eye on it though, or it will burn! |
