This is my easy version of the dip that can be baked in a bread bowl. For lazy dinner nights we have the microwave version of this dip with Hawaiian Rolls.
Ingredients:
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded (2 cups)
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups light sour cream
5 ounces ham, diced (1 cup)
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Combine cheeses and sour cream in a large bowl, mix until evenly distributed.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
4. Place in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. (Can also be baked in a hollowed out loaf of Hawaiian bread or sourdough; keep removed scraps for serving with dip.).
5. Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally. (Instead of baking, this can be microwaved for 1 minute at a time, stirring after each minute, until the cheeses are melted.).
6. Serve with your favorite bread or crackers.
