This is an amazing recipe if you like spinach as I do. I make this for holidays and everyone loves it. Greatness....and very easy to make. Ingredients:
3 (10 ounce) bags clean fresh spinach, roughly chopped |
1 1/4 cups heavy cream |
1/4 cup butter |
2 tablespoons minced garlic |
3 tablespoons minced white onion |
6 slices shredded provolone cheese |
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. 2. Add spinach and cook until wilted stirring constantly. 3. Remove from the skillet and drain in a colander. 4. Try to squeeze out as much liquid as possible. 5. Melt the butter in the skillet over medium heat. 6. Add garlic and onions then cook and stir until tender about 5 minutes. 7. Add spinach and stir in cream. 8. Sprinkle in provolone cheese and stir to melt and coat the spinach. 9. nce the provolone has melted stir in the Parmesan cheese and continue to cook and stir until thickened. 10. Season with salt and pepper and serve hot. |
